Store In Season

Starbucks challenged us to drive in-store visits for their new Cherry Blossom-themed merchandise and beverages. But we saw an opportunity to do more—turning every Starbucks location into a portal to the magic of sakura season.

Since not everyone can fly to Japan to experience cherry blossoms in full bloom, we used augmented reality to bring the experience to them. Across APAC, we transformed Starbucks stores into immersive virtual sakura groves, allowing customers to witness delicate pink petals bloom around them, no matter where they were. Through their phones, they could step into a world where the beauty of spring followed them with every visit, making every Starbucks moment a celebration of the season.
